Chris's latest adventure..
Meet Dale. He is Chris's 70's inspired alter ego and was recently enlisted to promote the Wii Bowling League that we started with a few couples with whom we are friends. He's fun lovin' guy that loves his stacks and flare bottom pants. However, life is not complete without his Wii remote (and the carpal tunnel syndrome that he feels is starting because of all of his Wii bowling practice).

To the best thing I never knew I always wanted..
Today’s not our anniversary or your birthday. Today’s a regular Wednesday. July 23rd. It’s flippin’ early in the morning. Last night wasn’t a great night and it wasn’t a long night. And, I don’t remember falling asleep. We were both that tired. And stressed. But. I remember you. I remember your hugs. And your voice. And your love. And your patience. Did you know that these are some of your best qualities?
When I walked into the bedroom this morning and saw you sleeping beside our baby in our bed, I can’t describe the feeling. Or, when I see you drag yourself out of bed to feed our baby at some unearthly hour of the morning. Or, when I remember the look on your face when you were down on one knee asking me to be your wife.. Or, the smile you wore through our entire wedding.. Everyday, there are new moments. New highs. New lows. New tears. New smiles. New milestones.. like our child standing up by himself in his crib or crawling.
I can’t tell you what you mean to me. I love you doesn’t seem to do it justice anymore. To the best thing I never knew I always wanted, thank you. I can’t wait to see you this afternoon. And. I can’t wait to spend every remaining day that God gives us on earth loving you.
Honey, do you remember this day??
Yeah, yeah, this is our photography blog. And this was mushy. So. What. :)
In honor of my undying love for my hubby.. how 'bout another contest?? Do you have a spouse/fiance that you are smitten with? How does your spouse spoil you? Does your hubby do all of the dirty diaper duties?? How did your fiance propose?
Send a picture (no professional pics, nudity, or violence) to chrisreinolds@inhisimagephotos.com AND include your reason why your spouse/fiance is worthy of praise. Winner receives a FREE photo session to capture your relationship with your spouse ANNNDDD FREE pictures from the session. Deadline for submissions is August 10, 2008 at 11:59 PM.

Her price is far above rubies..
Proverbs 31:10 says, "Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies." My grandmother has been a living example of this chapter to 18 children (9 by birth and their 9 spouses) and countless grandchildren and great grandchildren. Chris, Micah and I were able to spend a couple of hours visiting with her today and capture some moments that I will not forget. If you know my grandma, you know that these photos show some of the things that are characteristic of her.
Our family's musical ability came from her.. from her father (who could play the piano AND the harmonica at the same time!!). She still plays the harmonica in church.
These hands have changed more diapers, fixed more boo-boos, and issued more Godly discipline than I will probably ever be blessed with doing.
One of her many sewing machines. Some of my best childhood memories were learning to quilt in her living room with her and my great grandma. We were taught to sew.. by hand! And enjoy it!
Her kitchen table.. with canned vegetables and her Bible.
One of the 47 lilies that have popped up by her front door step.

You know, there are some very special “firsts” in life. First steps, first words, first teeth.. and first bite of chicken. That should explain the photo below. One day, our child will regret that his Dad and Mom were into photography but until then.. HAHAHA..

Contest Update
So, we are in week one of our “Your Favorite Person” Contest. We have received a great response and a lot of really good entries. We can tell already that it is going to be extremely difficult to pick a winner. Having said that, if you have a favorite person, you need to enter! You still have plenty of time to pick a picture and email it to chrisreinolds@inhisimagephotos.com.
Since the contest is dealing with favorite people, I thought that I would share a photo of one of our favorite people. You will see this person in Chris’s portfolio occasionally because she is a very attractive young lady that loves to help out her sister and brother-in-law. I’m writing about my sister, Melody (or “Mammy” as we call her).
Our relationship started while my mom was pregnant with her. I would sit beside my mom and talk to Mammy.. and play basketball with Mammy. If I remember correctly, I would say, “Boinka, boinka, boinka, SLAM JAM..” Looking back, if I were my mom, I would have put a stop to this nonsense but my mom is definitely more patient than I. I was only 14 years old at the time and, even before she was born, I thought that she was just the neatest little thing. My mom even let me name her. I was quite the teenage at the time and, poor Mammy, her name means “my little rock song.” Anyway, 16 years later, I still think that she is a pretty special young lady. She is entering her junior year of high school in the Fall and is taking all college preparatory level classes. She’s pretty active with our church’s youth group so between those two things she stays busy. Long story short.. I’m proud of my little sister. I think she is probably one of the neatest people that I have had the pleasure of knowing.. So, as a tribute to our “Mammy,” here’s my entry into the “Favorite Person” contest (of course, she isn’t really in the contest.. :) ).
