Our apologies

We're sorry that we have been slacking on blogging. We've been busy working on the debut of something new! We are finally ready to start announcing the "something new" to the general public.

While we have enjoyed meeting all of our wonderful clients as we started In His Image Photos, we felt the time had come to make some changes. We've started a new photography company and online photography journal. If you visit www.chrisreinoldsphotography.com, you will see a lot of familiar faces along with our new logo and all of our new photography sessions. Now that it is up and running, you will also see the craziness of our personal and business life resuming.

To all of our past and current clients, THANK YOU! We look forward to continuing our relationship with you. Please feel free to take a short trip over to www.chrisreinoldsphotography.com and make yourself at home!!

Honest Scrap

I was awarded (Thanks!) by Amy so here we go..

The rules of the award:
1) Choose a minimum of 7 blogs that you find brilliant in content or design.
2) Show the 7 winners names and links on your blog, and leave a comment informing them that they were prized with "Honest Scrap." Well, there's no prize, but they can keep the nifty icon.
3) List at least 10 honest things about yourself.

The honest things about me:
1. I have two tattoos.. one that I am willing to show.. one that I am not.
2. I like Steel Magnolias. Don't judge me. "An ounce of pretension is worth a pound of manure."
3. I have a serious addiction to The West Wing. I've watched the whole series like.. 400 times.
4. I look at Bridal magazines in stores. I'm not gay. I'm a photographer. It's research material.
5. I love my wife and babies.. After my relationship with God, they come first. Mess with them, you should be ready to mess with me.
6. I have memorized most of the Pixar movies. I recommend that, whenever someone gets a positive pregnancy test, you should go ahead and invest in them.
7. I drink a whole pot of Folger's Black & Silky coffee over a two day period. The same pot.
8. I'm an ordained minister, enrolled in seminary, and waiting on what God has in store for the future.
9. I have learned to quote movies from my wife's family. I wouldn't survive a conversation with them unless I did!
10. I love photography.. It is soo exciting to open a box with a new lens, new camera, etc. and then use them to create new ART of someone's special moment.
11. I have a HORRIBLE memory.. which is why photography is so important in my personal life.
12. The first time that I held my son.. everything changed. Until you watch your own child being born and hold them for the first time, you will never understand.
13. When my wife waits too long to make my hair appointment, I look like Wolverine from X-men.

Ok, so, here are my people to tag.

My wife
Mammy
Holly
Bethany
Candy
And whoever else wants to do it!!

Congrats Rose and Mitchell!

It's always exciting to hear of two people getting married.. One of our former models (and good friend), Rose, is getting married to Mitchell in September! We are so excited for you two and can't wait to photograph the big day!!!!!! We also hear from a very reliable source that two of our friends (and fellow photographers), Jeff and Jennifer of J & J Photography, will be taking their engagement photos. Make sure and check out the beautiful job that we're sure they will do on the engagement photos. :)

This is Rose modeling for us.. She's going to be a beautiful bride, Mitchell!

A Gift from above...up north that is.

This is just one of the wonderful gifts that I received from my wife around this holiday season. While I was on a trip to Idaho a couple of years ago I tried the local root beer. It was the best root beer that I have ever had. So my wonderful wife ordered it from up north and had it shipped down here. Thank you honey for the root beer.

The winner is..

Our very special winner is Ashley Pate. Ashley is a senior at Columbia High School in Lake City, Florida. According to her anonymous nominator, Ashley is a very, very special young lady.

Ashley was born during an emergency C-section and the family was given not pleasant predictions for her future mental and physical health. They also were told that Ashley had Treacher-Collins Syndrome. After enduring multiple craniofacial surgeries to "look more normal," she is not only not mentally incapacitated.. on the contrary, she is an honor student and enrolled in dual enrollment classes. When she graduates, she will be a certified nursing assistant with plans of being a nurse practitioner.

Because of family circumstances, Ashley was not afforded the luxury of senior photos. Because she was chosen as the winner of our participation in Giving is Awesome, Ashley will receive those photos. Also, since the person nominating her wishes to remain anonymous, the gift for the nominator will be given to Ashley's mother (per the request of her anonymous nominator). Ashley's mom will receive a photo session of her choosing.

Ashley, we can't wait to meet you in person! You will be receiving a phone call soon to set up the details of your photo shoot. :) Merry Christmas!
